Extended family sessions – so many different yet equally precious relationships to record. Grandparent/grandchildren. Parents with their adult children. The grandkids together. Family units. So worth getting the stars to align and everyone is in the same place at the same time. These photos will be even more precious in 10 years time when life looks so different to this version of now

My goodness how good is it to have mild nights and beautiful sunsets again!!!! Such a pleasure to see this family again. Of course the kids are bigger, to be expected, but why is it always kind of a surprise. I love seeing how children come into themselves…but truly their personality was always present right from the moment they entered the world. Crazy chaos, lots of laughs and silliness actually fills my cup because then I get to record their true and and natural self at this age. A little snapshot of history.

People often ask what is your favourite subject matter to photograph. Without a second thought it is always newborn babies. I just adore the process. I love meeting new parents exploring a whole new world, even if it’s their 4th baby it’s still all new now being parents to 4. I love the pace, sessions are slow. That means there is plenty of time to chat, and I love a good chat. Im an ‘oversharer’ from way back but I have people often sharing very intimate and vulnerable stories with me and I like to share a part of myself with them too, This newborn session was no exception.
