Anticipating Life – Adelaide Pregnancy Photographer

I just adore the process of a pregnancy session. To meet a couple for the first time and put them at ease in a situation where they feel uncertain with what they need to do, what they want, how they might feel and what it all might look like in the end is something I take on wholeheartedly.

I want my couple to feel comfortable to show their genuine connection, to trust in the direction I provide and the collective creativity that unfolds naturally.

This couple arrived with the most beautiful energy. Open, willing, excited, in love and genuine. So many beautiful moments. This time in this couple’s life is quite pivotal. So close to the ending of a pregnancy and so close the beginning of a new life, a new being, a whole new world and way of doing things. A beautiful thing to witness.

Expecting – Adelaide Maternity Photographer

It is incredibly special to be able to meet couples while they are still expecting. The chance to get to know them before their world changes forever. To share the excitement, really get to know them and hear their story of what brings them to this time in life. It makes for very rewarding work.

Anticipation – Maternity Photographer Adelaide

There is something truly magical about pregnancy and I can’t help but be swept up in the excitement and anticipation for what is held within a Mother-to-be’s swelling belly. I have infact made 2 babies myself, but still my mind boggles at the incredible feat our bodies achieve and how they simply, just know what to do.

I am very thankful I am able to record this precious time in a woman’s life.

Find Your Fabulous – Adelaide Contemporary Portraiture for Women

My time is often spent with families with little ones, meeting lots of newborns, some teenagers and couples getting married. So ‘Find Your Fabulous’ sessions are quite unique in that it is one on one time with a fellow woman. I started to offer these session because as I met more and more Mum’s, Grandmothers and women of the world, I realised body image issues are not something that you leave behind in those awkward teenage years. As we transition into women and the many roles we become to all the people in our lives; a partner, a lover, a colleague, an adult daughter and sister, a Mum and even a Grandmother – the image of ourself can become a little lost.

New Website Launch

Well, I can finally share this with you all – My new ‘Cocoon Studio’ logo. This has been a long time coming and I have been desperate to share it since May whilst the new website was being designed and built.

Lauren from Funky Chicken Design has created this gorgeous hand illustrated cocoon and incorporated it into a whole new look and a brand new website. Not only has she been wonderful to work with, her interpretation of my brief was perfect.
