Thanks for stopping by to check out my work. I’ve been a photographer for nearly 20 years, initially starting in the industry at a commercial studio creating images for advertising and promotion. My passion is people though and the beautiful moments we share. It’s no secret that I adore babies so, 14 years ago, Cocoon Studio was born.
As well as being an experienced photographer, I’m also a mum to two amazing kids, so I can quickly tune into your child’s mood and – even if just for a short time – share their curiosity and delight in the things they love.
I adore the process of newborn sessions. No where else to be than right there, in the moment with this new little being you have brought to life. A process of discovery, vulnerability and love in it’s purest form. I get to not only be witness to it, but record it as it unfolds in front of me.
I am truly blessed that my clients are my kinda people. Authentic, honest, loving, generous, caring and heartfelt. I am honoured to witness people’s utmost trust in me. They trust I will care for their baby and their children like they are my own, that I will nurture them, create a beautiful experience for them and capture the emotion and magnificent love that exists in their family.
This is incredibly rewarding work. To be a cog in the wheel when a pregnant woman finally sees her beauty, a new dad gets lost in loving on his baby, a new mum takes a moment to really soak up every detail, when children explore and be themselves and even teenagers who let down their guard and be real.
I love to capture the true essence of your family. Whether that’s through a cheeky grin, an intimate moment or a burst of playful energy, your images will tell a story – your family’s and your child’s story.
I’ll be there to help you all feel most relaxed, so those spontaneous moments you will treasure for years are natural and real.

The Team
I have two very talented photographers who shoot private events like birthday parties, hens celebrations as well as corporate PR events for me and also assist me on shoots when required.
Tracy
Tracy has been working with me for over 8 years now and has been responsible for covering a vast majority of the events during that time. Tracy comes from a background in childcare so in addition to being a wonderful photographer, she has a special knack for getting kids on board and having fun. Tracy is so hard working and sweet. A genuinely lovely person.
Sandy
Sandy is new to the team but certainly not new to photography. She is a well established and successful family photographer in her own right and brings her amazing skill set to Cocoon Studio allowing me to offer greater flexibility with event date availability. Sandy is one amazing human, incredibly talented and an absolute joy to be in the presence of.
