Intro to Photography
This course is designed to equip you with some basic skills to get you started. I will help you navigate around your camera and find the buttons you need to know. Bite size pieces of info to get you feeling confident and eager to use your camera on manual. We cover lighting and composition to satisfy your creative side and then we head out on location using all the skills you have learnt, so you have real examples to refer to later to jog your memory.
You do not have to have any previous experience in using DSLR manual settings nor do you actually have to own one. This course is also perfect for people looking to get a DSLR but want to know more before they buy.
This course is not designed to train you as a professional photographer and will not cover all aspects of photography but assist you to master some set basics, establishing a great foundation to expand your knowledge and experience. The core contents relate to photographing people – specifically your own family and children.

Intermediate
This is designed for those looking for the next step or a refresher.
Basic knowledge is required. You must have held a camera before, found how to flick it to ‘M’ and be all over that aperture, shutter speed and ISO craziness! If not, thats all good – just opt for the intro course instead.
The beauty of being one-on-one is that I can structure the course content to your knowledge base, your particular interests and work on projects that speak to your soul.
We get hands on so don’t forget to pack your camera!

AM I GOING TO FEEL LIKE I AM AT SCHOOL?
Yep! Nah, just kidding. The course content is kept simple. I’m a big fan of silly analogies, the sillier and more visual, the easier it is to remember the tip I’m sharing. I hope to ignite your desire to try, experiment, apply and further yourself. It will be up to you what you make of it.
I keep the technical mumbo jumbo to a minimum and arm you with the lingo you need to talk the talk and hold your hand so you can start to walk the walk.
Intro course includes course notes and I encourage you to add your own notes in a way that will easily prompt and remind you later.
