Why I’m passionate about Birth Photography?
Having a birth photographer allows the birthing woman and her support people to totally sink into the experience. Not a single thought has to be given to recording anything. You are free to concentrate, connect deeply, soak it up and be in the moment.
Birth can be such a different experience for each person present and often Mothers find details hard to recall as they were in such a ‘birth bubble’, an almost meditative state. Partners are sometimes privy to things the mother is completely oblivious to. Birth images are not only a way to remember the birth, but a cathartic process to rediscover together, to debrief, to share your experience with your partner.
I’ve witnessed couples opening up to each other after the birth sharing in this way. It’s almost like the invisible string that binds them together as a couple and now as parents is being wound around them over and over with each word they share, holding them closer and closer right before my eyes.
Pricing
The Birth Photography Package is $1200 for your birth story. You receive the best selection of fully edited images as black and white high resolution files on USB with a matching set of proof prints.
This package includes an in person meeting beforehand, being on call in the lead up to your birth and the time I spend with you photographing your birth.
It would be an honour and a privilege to be witness to the birth of your baby and I look forward to recording it for you.
