I have been flooded with invitations for this month to – a few to catch up with friends we haven’t seen in a little while but most are for my kids – childcare xmas party, ballet concerts, ballet presentations, playgroup catchups, playdates, end of year parties, xmas carols and the list goes on. Many of these invitations come with a little note “Bring a platter to share”.

Here is a little idea that you may love as much as I did. Spotted it at one of the parties we attended and have basically guessed how they did it and love the result. Easy, can be prepared in advance and shows you made a little effort even if you have no time.

All you need is a pack or 2 of Royals biscuits (now available in dark choc – yum), some white melting chocolate, a bag of jaffas and a zip lock back.
Half fill the zip lock bag with white choc bits and melt on low setting in microwave – 30 seconds at a time and massaging bag to mix as you go. Allow it to cool a little so choc isnt really runny. You want it to be close to setting so you can control how ooozy it looks on your xmas puddings.
Lay out your biscuits on a platter, snip corner of the bag making a tiny hole.
Drizzle white choc over top of biscuit making a star pattern so it dribbles down the sides
Put a jaffa on top and hold for a second until it holds

Very easy, great to have the kids help or even do the whole thing themselves.
