My little Cooper has turned 4 Months old and has a new nickname – Cooper Dooper. I think I read far too many rhyming story books as a young child as those around me, young and old all have silly rhyming nicknames. Cooper has been the most delicious addition to our family. I say delicious because sometimes I just want to eat him up.
I love his long eye lashes that curl delicately around his eye lids. They are his little piece of me, a gift I received from my Mum and for some reason are always even longer for all the boys in the family. I love his delicate little fingers that wrap around mine and his thumbs that, given the chance, always find a warm home in his mouth. I love his tiny toes that curl when I tickle him. So ticklish, just lifting his arm to get him dressed sets him giggling.
I love that his sister wants to cuddle him first thing, every morning, religiously and plenty of times throughout the day. I love that he beams with smiles and giggles at the slightest glimpse of his Daddy and I love those moments in the dark of night, just he and I, a quiet house, skin to skin and the bond we shared before he even arrived.
