Such a special session this one. It has to be said that these people are special people to me. The thing is, I had a moment of realisation. This is the first time I’ve held the baby of someone I also held as a baby. I’m not sure why that is so significant for me. Perhaps because I remember holding this Mum as a baby and pretending she was my baby wondering what it would be like to have a baby ‘when I grow up’. Perhaps because my daughter is the age I was when I held this mum for the first time and will now be holding her baby, no doubt pretending she is her own, wondering what it will be like to be a mum. Anyway, clearly I had a moment there and got carried away with the story, but that’s what I love to do.
I am so happy to introduce little baby Isabella. Just 8 days old here. Thank you for the cuddles and we (my kids and I) can’t wait to see her grow.
