So many people are surprised at how comfortable they feel during a pregnancy session when they would never consider wearing what they are in photos at any other time.

I actually had one mum who was at the studio for her son’s 1st birthday cake smash and also heavily pregnant. She was frustrated as she had put on a some weight with her first and then was pregnant so quickly – she felt terrible about the way she looked. I offered to do a few shots seeing as she was there, so she could just see them and make her choice then. She couldn’t believe how easy it was and we basically ended up doing a full pregnancy session for her as she just continued to love the process.

In the end – she was hugging me and kind of ‘on a hig’h that she felt so good – helped by the fact her husband now saw her in a different light, so did she. Anyway – when she saw the images, she rang me in tears thanking me for making her look so good. But it wasn’t me. Yes, I found the right angle and bathed her in gorgeous light – but it all came from her. She was the beautiful one – I just showed it back to her.
